Heat Recovery

All of our homes require a fresh supply of air for us to breathe and maintain healthy air quality. In addition to this we need to get rid of pollutants in the air within our homes; odorous air from kitchens, toilets, and damp air from bathrooms, tumble dryers etc. Achieving both of these goals keeps us healthy and also maintains the fabric of the building.

Traditional methods of circulating air within our homes use to largely consist of opening the windows at either end and creating a draft, but during the winter months and times when we are spending money on ever-increasing heating costs, these methods hardly seem sensible anymore.

A mechanical ventilation system with heat recovery (MVHR), will get rid of the unwanted stale air and replace it with fresh air from outside, whilst recovering and recycling the warmth at the same time.

A full heat recovery system consists of a fan fitted with a heat exchanger specific to your needs and concealed rigid or semi-rigid ducting to suit, it will extract heated odorous and moist air generated from wet rooms and kitchen’s and discharge it via a heat exchanger to outside of your property. Fresh air is drawn in to your property via the heat exchanger recovering the otherwise lost warmed whilst maintaining the airs purity.
